A level Photography Statement of Intent
In Key Stage 5 students have the option to study, A level Photography. The course enables students to develop their photography and Photoshop skills to create a portfolio which will prepare them for further education and beyond. Many students choose to undertake a creative pathway and gain places on highly competitive Art Foundation and Photography Degree courses, as well as going onto study art history and digital art courses. Workshops with practising photographers and visits to exhibitions and galleries inspire students throughout the year.
The creative process is key to innovation in modern industry. Studying a creative subject offers many transferable skills such as time management, working within a team, problem solving and idea development, all of which can be applied within many future career opportunities.
