Yr10 History students are visiting the this week, learning how surgery evolved in the 18-1900s. Patients who undertook surgery here were poor. Paid Teaching Internships Summer 2025

In partnership with Get into Teaching, Waldegrave Training Alliance is offering undergraduate and master's students the opportunity to experience teaching through the Teaching Internships Programme.  Our internship programme will last for three weeks starting in June 2025 and you'll be paid from £425 per week.

Before you start you need to:

  • be interested in teaching chemistry, computing, maths, physics or modern foreign languages
  • be studying for a degree related to one of the above subjects
  • have a right to work in the UK - if you’re an international student, check your visa as many student visas allow you to work 20 hours per week during term time and full-time during holidays

In this application, you will need to provide:

  1. Personal details
  2. University details
  3. A short statement on why you’re applying for an internship

If you need help

For support completing this application, or if you’re not eligible for an internship, Teacher Training Advisers can provide free, personalised support as often or as little as you need. For more information, visit this www.getintoteaching.education.gov.uk/explore-teaching-advisers

Applications

The programme is funded by the Department for Education (DfE). By submitting this application form, you are agreeing with DfE’s privacy policy which is available at the end of this form. You may be contacted in the future to take part in research relating to your internship, but you are not obliged to participate. You may also be offered free, personalised support from the Get into Teaching service (including from Teacher Training Advisers). To opt out of DfE communications, please answer 'No' to the final question.

We have now closed for applications but will reopen the form to responses should we secure any further places.
