Waldegrave celebrates 2026 GCSE results

Today Waldegrave School is celebrating GCSE results.

Ms Tongue, Headteacher, said: “We are all immensely proud of our students who received their GCSE results today. I have seen them work incredibly hard during their time at school and am impressed with the progress they have made since joining in September 2021 supported by the whole Waldegrave community of staff and families. This cohort has always also supported each other; our students are finishing Year 11 not only with a great set of results but with a group of friends for life.”

Our results:

  • 51% of all grades achieved by students were grade 7 or above
  • 77% of students achieved at least 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade 5 and above
  • 86% of students achieved at least 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths at grade 4 and above

Mrs Dhir, Head of KS4 commented: “Celebrating with our students this morning has been a real joy and a wonderful reminder of what they can achieve. It has been both an honour and a privilege to work with such a great Year 11 cohort, and I would like to take this opportunity to wish every one of them every success as they move on to the next chapter of their educational journey”

Ms Tongue added, “The rest of the week will be incredibly busy as we enrol students into our Sixth Form. Regardless of where our students’ journeys take them next, they will always be part of the Waldegrave community and we look forward to hearing about their future successes. We are really pleased that so many of our students will return to us for A-level studies and are excited to welcome new students into the Sixth Form.

A special mention must go to the following students’ fantastic achievement:
10 GCSEs at grade 9:
Alex A, Coco B and Mia W
