European Day of Languages celebrated with cake!

Students across the whole school have been taking part in fun activities to celebrate the European Day of Languages.

There was a tutor time quiz for the whole school, while Year 7 got creative for a poster competition. There were many excellent entries and the top three were selected at lunchtime today by the Modern Foreign Languages Prefects who selected three bright designs. Well done to Ilinca G, 7SDE, Jade O, 7FKU and Ellie W, 7SDE for their fun designs.

We also had a baking competition for Key Stage 3, with many students getting into teams for their baking efforts and sharing photos of their baking parties which was wonderful to see!  Our top three bakes from each year group are below, chosen for their creativity and fun.

Year 7:

Winners: Sienna and Flora, 7STH

Runners up: Megan and Emelie, 7EHO

Year 8:

Winner: Cleo, 8PCL

Runners up: Isabel, 8PCL and Arabella, 8PRE

Year 9:

Winner: Matilda 9FGC

Runner up: Eva 9EHO

Our winners will all have received ePraise for their efforts and will get some European themed prizes next week.

Don’t feel left out, you can join in at home with this fun vocabulary game from the European Day of Languages.
