Key Stages 3 and 4

Your school day begins when you arrive before 8:30am, ready for morning registration. Tutor time is a lively start to the day, packed with discussions, activities, house competitions, and the chance to hear from visiting speakers.

Next, you dive into your first two lessons, where learning comes to life. One moment you might be innovating in Design Technology, the next you could be programming in Computing, discovering how muscles work in P.E., or learning French, German, or Spanish.

After that, it’s break time. You can grab a tasty, healthy snack from the canteen or drop into the Key Stage Hub for advice and support if you need it.

Your third lesson of the day begins after break. Here, you might be reading award-winning literature in English or examining cells under a microscope in Science—every lesson brings something new.

Then comes lunchtime, when you can take part in clubs and activities, spend time chatting with friends, or relax in the canteen, Digby Court, or on the sports field if the weather’s good. If you want a quieter moment, the recently refurbished Library is perfect for some peaceful study.

The afternoon brings your final lessons, leading up to the end of the school day at 3:15pm (or 2:35pm on Fridays).

But the day doesn’t have to end there. After school, you might rehearse for a production, practice a musical instrument, or join one of the many clubs—from BBC Young Reporter to School Parliament. There are also sports fixtures across football, rugby, and more, plus trips and visits running throughout the year.

Every day is different, full of opportunities to enjoy, to achieve and to be empowered.
