During 2025/26 we plan to build a new classroom block to replace the old RE portacabin. This new block will house four classrooms, small intervention rooms, a premises office, as well as having storage & a small staff office. The block will have the latest smart screens which are non reflective and clear for all learners as well as fast WiFi.
The old block was coming to the end of its useful life, and with that in mind, the governors have been building reserves to ensure that we had sufficient funds to replace the portacabin with a modern, permanent structure.
The new structure has been environmentally and sustainably designed. It will hugely improve the working conditions for both staff and students and will be more thermally efficient, more secure and have the latest IT learning equipment.
In the meantime, we have temporary accommodation installed by the field. These large, light classrooms provide a lovely space for our RE students to learn and debate.
Once the block is complete, we look forward to finalising our designs for a eco garden which will encourage biodiversity and provide a quiet, reflect space for our students.
