This week we have said goodbye to our Year 11 and Year 13 pupils all of whom will begin their exams in earnest from next week (if they haven’t already!).
On Tuesday we enjoyed a fabulous parade of costumes, in an annual Waldegrave School tradition, for the Year 11 Dress Up Day. The pupils came to school on 5 May after the long bank holiday weekend in wacky, fun and creative costumes of their own design. They all enjoyed posing for photos in their group and individual costumes from film, book and social media characters. The highlight of the day was a staff versus students benchball game, with teachers who had worn Waldegrave Uniform for the day!
Wednesday morning was a real tear jerker, with our Year 11 Celebration Assembly. This was a chance for our Head Teacher, Ms Tongue, Head of Key Stage, Ms Dhir, Head Girl and all the form tutors to share memories and advice for the future. We also had some wonderful performances from choir members and musicians – thank you to them all.
Finally today was a day of returning to uniform for all our Year 13 pupils as they celebrated their final day in the classrooms. Uniforms represented included Waldegrave, Richmond Upon Thames School, Teddington School, Turing House School and many others.
We wish all our pupils success in their upcoming exams and wherever their journey takes them next.
