This February we have some very exciting menus coming up from pancakes ahead of Shrove Tuesday, special bakes for Valentine’s Day, a variety of options for Chinese New Year as well as Iftar Take Away Packs for those celebrating Ramadan.
This year Shrove Tuesday, or Pancake Day as it is now more commonly called, falls in half term but that doesn’t mean our canteen is missing it out! On Tuesday 10 February we will have pancakes available at break and lunch time with a variety of toppings.
Celebrate the Year of the Horse with our new special menu for Chinese New Year! The menu will be available on Thursday 12 February with traditional food and fortune cookie cupcakes. There are plenty of options to choose, from soups to noodles and special desserts.
Just head of Valentine’s Day itself, you can celebrate with a sweet treat of a valentine’s cupcake or cookie from the canteen.
Ramadan begins during our half-term break with many of our community beginning to fast during daylight hours our canteen has created a special iftar offer, allowing pupils to come and select items to take home and break their fast at the end of the day. This build your own pack of halal friendly items are open to everyone including students who have not used their free school meals allowance. Please see posters in the canteen for more information.
