Jack Petchey winners celebrated

We have seen a number of students granted Jack Petchey Achievement Awards. The winners are all young people who have been nominated for going above and beyond to achieve – perhaps where others might fail. We are incredibly proud of you all.

Annie B, 8SON was nominated by her English teacher, Ms Ansel, who spoke of her effort, leadership and engagement in her classes.
Robyn ZB, 11FGR and Luciana B, 11ERU were both nominated by Drama teacher Mr Page for their dedication to Performing Arts at Waldegrave. Both pupils have run the lighting and sound, set and stage management aspects of the plays, musicals and dance productions at school, having worked before and after school and giving up their precious weekends too! Both Year 11 pupils, they have ensured continuity of these skills within the school by setting up a club to share their knowledge with other pupils.

These pupils were presented with their awards and certificates at an informal ceremony in school this first week back after the winter break. Mr Goulbourne, our Deputy Head Teacher, who presented the awards, said the staff are incredibly proud of the achievements of all three pupils.
