Waldegrave pupil, Ayden, is currently on day 73 of a 100 day art challenge which will end on Christmas Day. They hope to raise £700 for local youth support charity, Off the Record, who provide free drop in advice and counselling services.
Every day since Tuesday 16 September Ayden has produced a piece of art and posted it on their instagram page @artforyoungminds to raise awareness of some of struggles that young people may go through. The themes of her artwork range from exam stress and mental health issues, to relationships, bullying and intrusive thoughts.
Mum, Luiza said: “It’s proving to be a huge commitment, especially alongside GCSE studies, and I’m so proud of the time and dedication they’re putting into this project. In their young and generous heart, they’re hoping to reach as many people as possible, share the valuable work that OTR does, and inspire others to talk about and support mental health in teens.”
